10 years ago I was in the fifth grade.

I've only known that I was a philosopher for a year or two, but if you had told a 10 year old version of me that I'd be a philosophy student in Berkeley and then you had explained to me what philosophy was, I probably would have thought that it made sense.

You see, even before I knew what philosophy was, I was a little ten year old philosopher. I always used to go around telling people I was an atheist, that the world was entirely determined by circumstance, that there was no afterlife and that compassion was the primary virtue yada yada yada... I used to be so fucking annoying.

Good thing I grew out of all that. Well... kind of.
