no! i loved da vinci code more. but its probably cause i read that one first than angels and daemons, and i didnt have an illustrated version for a&d. the pictures and reference were pretty vital.

Oh man. Da Vinci code-possibly the shittiest book I've ever read. Predictable right up to almost the end and then the completely irrational ending that makes the whole thing seem like an unfufilling waste of time. I read it in one sitting and then felt like I'd wasted a large hunk of my life.

1. Calexico
This band does NOT have enough of a following at allllll. They're like the more expansive [though not necessarily better] American equivalent to Apostle of Hustle. Pure greatness and delivered in so many different ways, fo sho. People barely hear about them until they do a collaboration with Iron & Wine (who is fairly high and mighty in the gossip-y areas of the Pitchfork universe) and they still barely get any recognition. This band should be a lot more huge than they are.

2. Arrested Development
Okay, yes, so everyone who watches this show says it's fucking awesome but still, NOTHING can explain the low ratings, which officially make it underrated. My theory is that people just buy the DVD's because they didn't watch from the VERY beginning which the show basically revolves on (a continuing/overlapping plotline) and just rely on catching up, etc.

3. Chad VanGaalenThe most personal music out there. Extra points for his debut album being recorded primarily in his bedroom. He should've been signed to Arts&Crafts. He ( ... )

Calexico has quite a big following actually Galen, we caught the wind late. Umm underated, Fembots, the NEW Ryan adam and cardinal thing they got going on, his older music is shudder inducing...ummmmmm oh Magnolia for sure, and punch drunk love (I love P.T. Anderson). The american "the office" is pretty hilarious too.

ooooh magnolia...word! punch drunk love was quite good too!

but the british "the office" is pretty sick/ill. the american version is only mildly contagious and deadly in comparison.

Dude, it so doesn't. I mean, they're sort of known but they do not have a big fanbase at all considering how long they've been around. There's only like 800 people on their forum!!!

that's becasue their fanbase isn't a bunch of nerdy teenagers that research them on the internet. It's all people my parent's age.

I don't know if Jason Collett counts, but I'm really getting into him, especially Idols of Exile. He fucking rocks. Maybe hes more appreciated/liked/known then I realize...?
