Using PS CS2
01. Start out with your base. Crop it, sharpen it, you know. You can add a coloring if you want to. I didn’t.
02. Enter Quick Mask Mode.
03. Use a brush to make a circle, place it anywhere you like. The size of my circle was 60px.
04. Exit Quick Mask Mode.
05. Desaturate the selected part by going to Image>Adjustments>Desaturate.
06. Inverse the selection by going to Select>Inverse
07. Add a stroke by going to Edit>Stroke. The width on my icon is 1px, but feel free to play with this. Choose what looks best to you. I used a white color
08. Deselect your icon by going to Select>Deselect.
09. Done!!!
