I have but a simple question.
Replacing a bed with a large hammock.

Nae, definitely nae. It will kill your back.
However 100% to adding one but keeping a bed as well.

I think it'd be like using a futon all the time instead of a real bed. Not a good idea.

My first thought was YES! So different! But I guess it would depend on the type of hammock. This one looks comfy:
