J.J. Abrams and the anime equivalent of him, Gainax, both have new shows this season. I have to decide if I'm going to watch either, since there is 99% chance that both are going to start off amazing and then quite suddenly suck, as with most of their work
Odd, I didn't have you pegged as the "watches TV much" type. Not that only certain types watch TV, but you know what I mean, that I didn't think you were much for watching TV, or something. Kinda like that, pretty much. Yeah. Anyway, interesting points, though in Lagann's case I think it's a lot more watchable if you think of it as a parody of the stupid crap in a lot of mech shows.
Edit: Gah! Forgot to post this: Yeah though, the dub's been good from what I've seen, though for a few weeks it skipped the episodes entirely so now as far as I can tell the whole order's out of whack. Eh, I can catch up later. Heh, Leeron's Steve Blum? Guess the guy does have more than one voice, I didn't even know it was him. I thought Kamina was pretty good, but not great.
