Tell the parishioners that the Bible is just a collection of the mores of people that lived in the desert thousands of years ago, along with the stories were suggestions on sexual conduct that promoted the best chance on getting the strongest and largest army. These guidelines were intertwined with a spiritual undertone so that people were more likely to follow them and take them seriously.
