Riza was fairly certain, an hour into the required Practical Philosophy course, that the lecturing General had found a way to slow time. As the General paused to sort his papers, her stomach growled. Mortified, she looked up and caught the eye of the girl sitting next to her. The girl winked, and Riza found herself smothering sudden giggles.
The other girl snorted, and slouched lower in her seat to whisper, "He's really terrible, isn't he? I'm Rebecca, by the way."
"Riza," she reciprocated softly. "If he goes on much longer, I'll be too old to serve when we graduate."
