The snow muffled the noise of Riza's boots, her steps neatly aligning with Roy's. "If this keeps up, the roads will be impassable by the morning," Riza observed, her voice made faint by the wind.
"I would have few complaints," Roy responded, reaching to clasp her gloved hand.
Riza kept her face solemn. "You might not, but Black Hayate might voice a few at being trapped inside."
"For such a noble individual, I might brave the elements," Roy conceded. "It seems only right."
"You are truly a man of the people," Riza smirked, leaning her shoulder into his.
