I have now been awake for over 24 Hours

Well, I'm still alive and Waltham Forest has lost only one Labour seat overall (there was some 'churning')... "was this feat achieved by some evil manipulation?" you ask. Nope, it was from lots of people like me having lots of days like these:

Some other important bits of results (to me anyway)

Leytonstone Ward Labour Majority* 2002 = 79
Leytonstone Ward Labour Majority* 2006 = c.460

Plus, the Green candidate polled ahead of Respect which was great as, as I may have said before, he's a nice bloke who we all get along with... and he does acknowledge our local efforts to improve the environment.

In other areas, we also managed to substantially increase our majorities and we even took some seats... though sadly we did loose some (two to be precise) we did almost knock out one leading opponent in one ward (a margin of, if I remember, of 27 votes.

It was worth staying to the end though, as Miranda got a seat in Leyton and her two fellow candidates hammered the majorities of the remaining two incumbents. This mayt not seem important, but she's lived there most if not all of her life and is highly able, to the extent she could quite probably have been selected for as easier ward but instead always maintained that if she was going to be a councillor she'd do it there.

I may write more later when I've actually had some sleep as the campaign has generated lots of anecdotes and life observations that I'd like to set down.

Oh, and UberComrade? TB (Not Blair, the other one you hate) had a bet that the Labour Group in Waltham Forest would be the smallest after this election... he now owes someone a fiver : ) (and no, it's not me, I wouldn't be daft enough lay a bit with the p****)
