I totally second this. Snooping on livejournal or facebook is an awesome hobby. I love to just go read about totally random people's lives. D always looks over my shoulder and asks me whose journal I'm reading and I'm like "I don't know...some chick in Oregon?"

However...I learned that looking for people you used to know is a gamble. Sometimes you find embarrassing pictures of people who were mean to you, Sometimes you find a girl who was in your brownie troop who's living in New England while her husband finishes his graduate studies at Dartmouth before probably going off to be wealthy, successful lawyers with billion dollar his and hers condos in Manhattan with adorable stepford children and a maid and a gardener.

not that I'm bitter.....who wants a maid, anyway...I'm sticking to random journals now. ;)

I have found so many fun journals just out of sheer boredom. I'm up to my elbows in a well written blog from a lady in Santa Clarita, CA. I even friended one sad lonely girl who was threatening to kill herself. I'm hoping she decided against it, but sadly, she has disappeared out of LJ-land. I like to think I might have made a difference though
