From this day forward, I consider myself as having no father.

We feel like saying fuck trying to interact with our parents from time to time.. but we need them, even the ones who suck... so just try to wait until you aren't so hurt and slowly work back up to "normal"

That is my point. This is normal. I have no trust in the man, and can have no trust in the man. He's spiteful.

My mom is crazy, but I have developed coping mechanisms that smooth it out a little.

I can no longer stand this relationship with him as it is.
The only hope that remains is that he sees what his actions have brought about, and decides he sincerely wants to change. My mother divorced him, and my sisters loathe him. I'm at least still willing to give him a chance, but only when he acknowledges, at least to himself, what he has done, and is continuing to do.
Hell, even that alone, without a change in events, would go a very long way in repairing the damage. Until then, I refuse to speak to him.
..in fact, he just now called. I hung up on him, disconnected the phone.

I'm not trying to be insulting or anything, but I know that jobs such as Mcdonalds or even gas stations and the such (not such great minimum wage jobs basically) don't require you to have transportation. Most of their employees are usually 15-17 and most don't have cars because it's their first job.

Is there a fast food place near your home that you can walk/ride bike/bus to?? That might be your best option at this point to at least get a few dollars in your pocket.

I know people who are determined to get what they can so work fast food for awhile and save up all their money and get really nice stuff. You can too!!!

Gotta start somewhere to go somewhere...

The nearest McDonalds is 9.5 miles away. You miss a day of work and you are fired. Coupled with the fact that I've put in applications already...
As for gas stations, none are hiring. This is post-hurricane territory, and the minimum wage jobs are already filled. Believe me, I have checked, and I continue to check. :-/

What about those weird "work from home" jobs that you can find in the classified ads??

Also, I think if you call up your dad and apologize and basically bullshit around in his favor, he'll probably agree to help you out again. Maybe go put his air conditioner in for him or something. Gotta kiss people's asses sometimes as long as their willing to help you.

The ones around here are pyramid schemes. I've tried several.
And I will *NOT* apologize for the paranoid shit he comes up with.
That's how I survived him during my childhood, and that is precisely what I will no longer do.
You simply do not get it.. he is, quite frankly, insane. He imagines stuff, and holds this as reality. I do not actually have to fuck up in order to do wrong. He will perceive wrong in places it does not exist. I quite literally have to walk on eggshells for *any* support from him, emotional or otherwise.
He is not my father.
