Haven't we discussed Gorgeous George before? The man's an arse, self serving, disingenuous lying arse who spends more time on book tours than he does turning up to do his actual job.

His anti-war posturing was based around anti-American/"anti-imperialist" grandstanding instead of any specific objection to an overall policy, the political party he formed to get himself elected has torn itself to pieces and he has done the cause he espouses more damage than good at every point.

There are decent, honest, anti-war politicians in the UK-several have become friends and/or contacts of mine since I got back involved in politics. But he ain't one of them.
