Okay, SO MUCH LOVE for this! It's fluffy but not nauseatingly so, I love that they struggled a little with Riff, and I like the little details you worked in. (like, I'd never considered that Sauli can't drive here. OMG, not being able to drive in LA is the WORST. No wonder he doesn't have his own circle of friends here yet.) I love how you write Sauli's grasp of English, too - learning the words "sanitize" and "formula" was perfect, I completely buy that no matter how well he speaks, those words would be unfamiliar. Also love how you brought in his OCD but it was just a subtle part of his character, nothing overt

Some of the things with Sauli's grasp of english I had already put in the story but aloverestrained did remind me that Sauli probably doesn't speak perfect English so I refined it a bit.

And you're totally right about the POV. I left the story and came back to it and did in a different POV.

Great job! For a first time fic to get me teary is an excellent start indeed. I'm not gonna concrit, others more skilled than I have done so. I just encourage you to continue. You write the relationship, language barrier, and driving barrier so well (although he can drive in LA if he wants to/Cali's okay with temp Intl licenses, although very understandably he most definitely may not want to, lol).

Maybe the learning to drive in LA and ~making out in front/back seat can be a future meme!
