Spreading the evening sky with crows

Got pulled into the Border's trap tonight. You know, if I really cared about my finances I'd stop going there every Wednesday night. But go I did, and buy I did, and now I feel slightly better than I did earlier in the evening (it's funny how being a consumer whore has that effect). It's pretty interesting to see how my cd purchases dovetail ( Read more... )

based on those purchases, it sounds like you became me. jayhawk's - check, songs: ohia - check, bruce springsteen nebraksa (i assume) - check. i don't have bonnie "prince" billy or joe strummer, but i have london calling and i listen to a hell of a lot of bright eyes and simon joyner. i know where you're at musically-minded. let the country fill you, and you will fill the country. and i know i haven't been up to it as much at improv, but belive me, i'm going to start focusing, and i'll win that state trophy before i graduate this june! believe in mt notorious R.O.B. and the country will fill you.

peace rubber necks.

so a happy selection did you well? good to hear and thining out that wallet good news good news. and about your so called "knickers" well your panties should be in a twist.1) I've come to realize you are better off being independant like the skate co you know em, well anywho, I don't think you can find that one good girl because no one can amount to your creativity, and since she blew you off ( not that way...shudder, oh sorry PG,right got it) I don't think she deserves you. in my opinion you take for granted what you have. your awesomely creative, you are funny and fun to hang out with and theres never a dull moment. If girls blow you off in such a manner they are not worth the thought.(2. oh and your brothers not hot heathers weird.)3.) stop watching those videos you can actually afford to gain weight...really.( I mean that in a good way of course) 4) go for it audition for the play, have a senior whom you trust run it, attend any practices you can and stll do show.thats all the help I have for tonight.-Pukie

I've read Slaughterhouse Five and Cat's Cradle already, so this is my third Vonnegut venture. I'm not sure where to go next. As for Simon Joyner, he's singwriter than i assume would be very boring to people who are not interested in folk music or literature. He is much more on the lyrically side and is often compared to Leonard Cohen and Dylan. Lots of long songs with a lot of words. I read in an interview that he writes all the lyrics and just makes the music fit around them. His voice is something to get used to, although I've always thought he sounds just like Lou Reed. I have his two newest Cds. By the way, youasked me about the Rhett Miller solo record and I never described it. It's really poppy, in a brit pop type way, very bouncy and happy even if the lyrics are depressing. Perhaps I could loan out my Simon Joyner and Rhett Miller cds if you are interested. this is wayyy to long for a comment.
