Okay, I have been really depressed and lonely and I just want to stay wrapped up in my depression-robe and sleep all day, but on my way to work to get yelled at some more, I came up with some life goals to distract myself from how pathetic I am

If it's a good target range and they have guns for rental, someone who works there should be able to recommend a good one for you to try. I have ridiculously weak hands so a lot of pistols are a problem for me, whether it's the size of the gun itself or the trigger pull. Maybe look into trying a .22 pistol first? They're fun to shoot and won't blow your hands off.

Although I am reminded that ammo is expensive in this day and age, yikes.

We have a pool in our housing development that you are welcome to use (when we're there)! We didn't use it last summer because we moved in just as the weather was cooling off, and apparently it was closed for a few weeks for renovations, but I hear it's nice. I can also give you some swimming tips. I was like you a few years ago: "swimming" in college meant laying out by the pool tanning and taking a dip whenever it got too hot to endure laying out anymore. I had swimming lessons as a child but never really got into swimming laps until I was training to do a triathlon. I can give you some tips and concepts to help if you like. It's super good exercise and I love it because in the summer it's easy to do for long periods of time even when it's really hot outside and not get overheated like I sometimes do on my bike. Our development also has a tennis court that Danny and I plan on using and we have an extra racket if you'd ever like to join us

Aww, thanks for the offer, I really appreciate it. Let me know when the pool is open, I'll try to free up a weekend to come visit and you can watch me flail about in the water.

Thanks for reminding me that ammo is getting expensive, I guess that's why my brother only went to the range 2 times, haha. Oh and trust me, I'm way excited about getting to ride a horse! I am free the weekend of my birthday, so that would be absolutely perfect. Thanks again, I am so grateful for the info and advice. I really need to get my butt out of my bed and computer chair, I think this is a great start.
