[The video cuts in to show Ken frowning down into the camera, breathing a little too hard and too fast, and biting his lip. Clearly he is looking for something in one of the Dreamberry's menus, jabbing at the keys beneath the screen; just as clearly he triggered the video feed in the process. The image shakes: he's grasping the Dreamberry as firmly

Mr. Ken? Whatever is wrong?

[... which is about when Ken realizes he shouldn't have just let that video record, should he?

[He looks surprised for a moment, then momentarily guilty. Then he laughs, necessarily silently,eyes falling closed for a moment. Alice. He really is back, isn't he? Back and... and whole, seemingly, he isn't even sore and how does any of that make sense?

[Feeling like something's expected of him, he points to his throat and looks apologetic. Could I pass this off as a cold?]

Mr. Ken? You are alright aren't you?

[He nods. It's a lie, but what can you do. The last person he wants to fill in about the wherefores of all this is Alice. At least she doesn't seem to know anything happened to him, which is one blessing.

[Ken mouths, hang on a minute, holding up one hand, and hopes she understands that. Hell, he hopes she knows now to text...]

[She has a sense something is wrong, but she has yet to understand what exactly. She tilts her head, emitting a whine to draw attention to herself.]

[He's expecting it now. Sat by the lake with the Dreamberry on his lap, trying to work out where on earth he goes from here, Ken's decided he might as well handle the mess he's made by making this post at all where he is, and then see about finding his way back.

[So he's ready when the wolf shows up, though the red markings and the thing on her back come as something of a surprise. He starts, at first in simple confusion, but can't quite keep back the curiosity. That's really not just a wolf, is it?

[Hello, he's thinking - very likely it shows on his face. Who are you?]

[Though the glaive sword on her back and red markings come off strange, her appearance doesn't give off anything threatening. She had happened to be nearby when the post was made, and by the looks he was making- this wasn't where he was suppose to be. Nonetheless, she doesn't make any move to approach, simply watching and seeing that he isn't alarmed or frighten.]

[When she spots the look on his face, her tail wags slowly in greeting back. Taking a few steps closer she comes to stop before him and tilt her head lightly, after setting down the Dreamberry in her mouth she barks to him now.]

[Okay, so it's a wolf.

[Or... well, it's something persistently wolf-shaped, anyway, but for some reason Ken isn't inclined to judge her a threat in the way he normally would if a wolf started taking an interest in what he was doing while he was alone, unarmed and feeling decidedly off his game. He just, for whatever reason, really doesn't think she is one - perhaps it's the fact that she's got a Dreamberry in her mouth? - and Ken's nothing if he's not inclined to respond in part.

[So he just sits there and watches as she walks toward him, then shifts forward, holding out one hand - reasonably confident that it won't be bitten off, but unsure if a wolf smart enough to use a Dreamberry would want to be patted on the head.

[Man, this is way trickier than it looks.]

[Bad feeling. Definitely a bad feeling about this.]

[That makes two of us. Ken should be dead. He was dead. And--

[He can't remember why any more.]

[Is this normal, he wants to ask. And, will it come back? But he doesn't. Here he is back from the dead and he doesn't even know what to say about it...

[So he just hits send.]

[... okay, so he's kind of getting used to this. Ken holds up one finger - could you wait a minute? - and manages a smile, gesturing to his throat. Mouths, again, I can't talk.]
