my dog died yesterday.

he was one of my best friends for 11 years.

i just can't think of life without him.

i just wish i had some time to prepare myself.
it all happened so suddenly.

i've lost a member of my family.

I don't know that there is a way to prepare for such a loss. I agree that it is like losing a member of your family. Take care and be gentle to yourself.

*hugs*

thank you for your kind words, i know there is no preparing but....you know. when something like this happens all of the "i wishes" start to build and build.

I am so, so sorry for your loss.

It was like that (very sudden) with both my family dog and my grandparents' dog, who both passed away a few years ago. Both of them were my best friends when I was a little girl, and I still miss them both terribly.

*big hugs*

I know before saturday I never thought of Buster dying. He was just always a part of my life and for some insane reason I never stopped to think that one day he wouldn't be there. Well, now that day is here and the ache in my heart, I'm sure, will last for quite some time.

someday my Roo will be gone ... and even knowing that it's coming, there's really no way to prepare for the hurt. i'm sorry for your loss, Laurie.
