A couple of friends asked for a colouring tutorial for fast icon making, and while I don't exactly have a technique of my own... er, here's a list of tips / tricks I taught myself along the way? Hope they help o.o! And, orz, I'm sorry they're so dumbly phrased, I never learned photoshop 'properly,' so all the nice, technical language
