I'm writing here because today has been the most uneventful day of a terribly uneventful week at work. I had several "projects" to work on, but none of them required much time or effort, and I generally found myself staring for hours at comicbook webpages until I could no longer discern "real life" from the world of superheroes and space aliens.

I admit, it does feel like there ought to be some huge climax/crisis, but unfortunately we're probably just heading toward an awful let-down.

Unless, of course, I'm someone like Bruce Wayne's dad. Then I'd be nothing more than a source of guilt and inspiration to drive the superhero into the night seeking vengence for my death. That'd actually be pretty neat.

Either way, war is inevitable, invest in gold... Good words to live by. War is inevitable, avoid alliances with the Germans... even better.

The nice thing about a heated knife is that when you cut yourself, the wound is instantly cauterized. I know that from experience...
