Alexis, I'm so sorry to hear that your dad passed away. I loved that man. He brought me great joy through out the years. When things got tough for either of us we would remind each other laughing is easier than crying. My thoughts are with your family, and I know that he's hanging with your mama happy as can be, he loved and missed her so much.
I just found out about this yesterday because my brain clicked, "Dave! I wonder how he's doing???" Sad to see he has passed. I mean, I'm glad he's not suffering physically or anything, but he was one of the most interesting people I ever "met" online. He once called me when I lived by myself and was lonely and had no internet and we had a wonderful conversation. He was so creative and funny.
I cannot BELIEVE I am just now finding out about Dave's passing. What horrible news! And what a horrible friend I am. **** me sideways, I feel sick. :( I was lucky enough to meet Dave in person in Las Vegas years ago. And we've been "friends" here on LJ for over a decade. He was always, always there for me. God I suck. And God sucks. I love you, Dave. Thanks for being such a great guy. Wish there were more like you.
