to bee or not to bee

I had an encounter with a bee last wed on the golf course.  I'd always played with a male companion all these years be it my dad, hubby, colleagues or brother.  So i've never had to worry about facing the elements of nature myself.

i got stung by bees twice. once on my hand and my fist doubled in size. the other time on my poor little toe. (actually, i stepped on the little bee unknowingly and got stung)

were the 2 times very painful? i know wasps sting are bad, not sure how bad a bee's sting can be, must be hospitalised/take antibiotics?

the first one was quite bad. but nope, not hospitalised or put on medication. just some external med for the swollen area. heh.

i know. i was wondering if the bee was attacted to the powder (lavender scented) which i used that morning?

in any event, thank god it didn't sting me!

Oh yucks. The last time my bro got stung by a wasp, he had to take a HUGE box of antoibiotics

I hate all these creepy crawlies / flysies!! Bees, wasps, spiders, snakes.. yuck yuck yucks.

wear long sleeve when you next golf???

yeeeks, don't scare me!!!!

even if long sleeves, won't the sting do through the cloth? but yes, i was telling myself next time, wear long sleeves and long pants!

maybe i used lavender powder (crabtree and evelyn) and the bee was attacted to that?
