After commenting in Serene's earlier post about us mothers' problem area post- 2nd childbirth, I thought nothing much of it, BUT.....last week, I got into my 2 piece swim suit to take the kids into the pool at the Sentosa Resort and Spa hotel, where we had checked in for a 2-night getaway stay ( Read more... )

i actually thot this won't happen for at least another few more yrs, but now i begin to understand what the process of aging does. Now I'd better get to the bottom (no pun intended) of things!!!!

Looks like exercise is the only option for us mommies with 2 or more kids!

I've stopped wearing my bikini for awhile too, actually managed to fit into it during our Bintan break in March but recently, I've gained so much weight I look like I've hamburger layers!

yes, i was quite complacent, thinking that the aging process will not happen quite as yet, BUT..... this is the only reason i can think of for the current situation of stubbornly not diminishing buttocks and the non-reducing waist line and the increasing extra bulk at the waist (love handles)!!!!

it is indeed true, we MUST make the effort to exercise and target these areas....

I've recently joined Slender Shapes (one of those ladies circuit gym). Quick, easy and I'm starting to see some results after 4 weeks!

I'm starting to set aside exercise time now. I did think of signing up for these gyms sessions as they make the motivation factor all the more easier to meet cos you have a routine to stick to. I'll check it out as well! :)

Sigh... this age thing is the main culprit. I have been training for the Shape Run this Sunday. Been running 2.4-5km every other day.... and I have not lost a single pound or inches!!!!!!

Wah lau.. like that, I have to run 5 hours each day just ot see results.. no life...

I fully agree that the aging process is the reason for the stubborn fats. Now I know why some older women look the way they do, even tho they had superbly slim bodies when younger !

Is there a co-relation between losing weight overall and the reduction in the waist/buttocks area?

OH! MAYBE i have been eating so much of the cupcakes too!!!! I eat up all the icing which Shannon doesn't. Hahahahahah, just joking. I've told my colleagues to expect them this Friday, and they are pretty excited!!!

Maybe I shd have signed up for the Shape Run too, to give myself the much-needed motivation. Have fun!

Oh I'm sure it's reversible - just have to up energy level and reduce food intake. I would loan my mobile gym ( Josh) to you if I could. 1 month with him and I'm sure you would see results.

But the last photo I saw of you in bikini ( at the club I think, with Raine) wasn't bad at all!!! Still very slim after 2 kids!!!

How abt exercising while on the move - using stairs instead of lift ( which floor is your office on??) , less carbo at night, no eating 4 hours before sleep, less sugar etc.. small things but they work!! :)

nope, not for no. 2....and also, it dawned on me that a lot of older ladies have this problem, and these are the ones (like the older generation) who didn't have a heightened awareness of exercise. The last photo was good, cos the fats hadn't descended! It's true, that's why the alarm wasn't raised then.

the upper half of the body is good, i'm quite ok, but the buttocks and bum are really havoc. it really makes you want to liposuction it off immediately!!!!!

I'm wondering if it's becos I've been working late nights, and sitting still in the office, and now that Shann and Raine are older, no need to run after them, hence less physical exertion at home too......

I'll cut down on rice then!!!
