I love this little look into Severus' youth and his relationship with his father, and the background you give us about Tobias. I especially love the way you've outlined Severus' ambitions in a way that shows why he might have gone the way he did and also why he left it behind (because of course, anyone who isn't rich needs a day to day job, whatever world he lives in). I especially love the irony in this line: There would be no living in Spinner's End with faded furniture and rats for company when he was grown up. Great job.
