I'm very confused.

Don't you think if you were "gruntled," that would be a bad thing? But, um, if you become no longer "gruntled" (i.e. "DISgruntled"), that's a really bad thing?

NO idea, but i did find this out!

Dis is the Roman god of the underworld.

And the defintions for gruntle:
To grunt repeatedly
cause to be more favorably inclined; gain the good will of.

that second one really confuses me. Maybe disgruntle stems from that definition of gruntle.
