Not necessarily a rhetorical question, unless you already know the answer. If you're truly wondering and don't know, maybe note down all the times you spend money: where and how much. Do that for about a month, and you'll see where the money's going, and where you'll be able to cut back. (Or even if you *can* cut back.)

Oh yes, I know how much I am spending, and have cut down a LOT the last year.

This was more of a "I am good at what I do, and who I am, so why do I find it so hard to make even a comfortable living"

I know the degree would help a ton, just a long way till that happens.
