In which Minho reminds Kibum who he has as a boyfriend.

Author's Note: Inspired by this. asdfghjkl and of course, naturally, here comes the obligated drabblish oneshot, though i really don't have to write them since this ship obviously sails itself. finished this in an hour or so, it's word vomit, and a whole lot of fluff. but thank you for finding your way here and i hope you'll like the read! ^^

ps: dear loyal readers, if this reminds you of Baby, It's Simple, you're on the right track~

Minho had very few regrets in his life and one of them, which Minho would never let himself forget, was that he did not catch Kibum’s musical when he was casted as Frank Abagnale Jr.

Talk about Catch Me If You Can.

It was something they both knew, but had brushed aside because Kibum never allowed Minho to feel sorry for not being able to watch the musical. It wasn’t Minho’s fault that he didn’t have the time to do so. Besides, Kibum didn’t find it a big deal. Even if he wasn’t busy, Minho was certainly not obliged to come and watch him. As the days went by, they never talked about the fact that none of the members showed up to support Kibum. It wasn’t only among the two of them; even with the rest of the members, there was nothing that had to be said since everyone understood that busy schedules might have prevented them from showing physical support for Kibum but their absence at the theatre did not mean they did not care or wish the very best for him.

The matter had been brushed aside, almost forgotten, until three of them attended Kiss The Radio and Ryeowook had asked them if anyone had come to watch Kibum. Minho wasn’t there (proved once again how busy he perpetually is) but like always, managed to find some free time to catch the broadcast. And when he did, Minho noticed how Kibum kept silent but nodded along when Ryeowook shared how he felt disappointed when not all of the Super Junior members came to watch him. If that wasn’t enough, the way Kibum had laughed and exclaimed how no one, not even a single member, came for his musical, made Minho sure that deep down inside, Kibum cared; that although he understood, Kibum still felt sad, even if it was just that little bit. It was then Minho made a promise to himself that he would not miss Kibum’s next musical for the world.

As if the gods were helping him, Kibum was casted in yet another musical. And what made things even better (and easier) was that Minho didn’t even have to worry about missing Kibum’s musical again. Why worry when he had time on his hands?

And when January arrived, Minho could finally fulfil that promise… and give Kibum a huge surprise.

It was a little regretful that Minho couldn’t catch the whole musical from start since he had to avoid garnering too much attention from the audience and distracting them from what was happening on stage. Yet, regret was the last thing he wanted to feel when he was finally at the performance venue. However, when he did finally sneak in and sat at a corner somewhere in the back of the theatre, somewhere perfect to lie low and stay under the radar, Minho absolutely regretted not asking Kibum when the kiss scenes were.

No. Kibum was not allowed to press his lips against one lucky audience’s forehead, not even for a second, let alone 5-8 seconds as staged by the musical.

At least he wasn’t the only one who disagreed when someone shouted what his heart was saying out loud - “No! You can’t!”

And no. Contrary to what some of the fans felt, Kibum was certainly not cute at all when he said “Those at the back, please don't be offended!” before he kissed the girl.

It was as if he knew Minho was there!

Did he? But Minho was positive Kibum had no clue because they (the managers as well) kept it a secret - Minho for personal reasons and their managers for work reasons. Unless Kibum had spotted him in the audience…

Whichever way, it didn’t matter. Minho was stil left frustrated (even more so when he had another kiss with his co-star) and could only hold it all in since he obviously couldn’t do anything about it…

At least he didn’t have to suffer long.

When curtain call arrived, Minho quickly left the theatre before any audience did and headed backstage into Kibum’s dressing room. He had a little bit of waiting to do, and found himself bored and restless midway, but when the door finally opened, Minho stood up from the couch with a smile so wide to welcome Kibum back.

“Why, hello there, D'artagnan.” Minho greeted with a bow, purposely following exactly how Kibum had done it at curtain call.

Upon seeing Minho standing in front of him in all his glory, Kibum instantly froze at the doorway. His surprised expression was everything Minho wanted. And it made Minho so proud of himself that he ended up laughing out loud. Minho’s laughter snapped Kibum out of his trance and in the next moment, Kibum had slammed the door shut, locking it, before he stormed straight towards Minho.

“What the fck are you doing here?!” Kibum cursed as he poked Minho in his chest with every word he said.

“Why else would I be here?” Minho questioned back, unable to stop himself from laughing. Kibum’s expression was just too epic.

Kibum frowned, “When did you start watching?”

With a single question, Minho’s laugher died in an instant.

“I saw what I wasn’t supposed to see.” Minho simply answered, suddenly becoming all too serious for Kibum’s liking.

Kibum knew his boyfriend well enough to know the reason behind his mood swing, and if you ask him, Minho didn’t sound pleased at all. Kibum could even pick out the hint of anger in Minho’s voice.

And so, he did what he did best.

Kibum pulled his boyfriend towards him and pressed their lips together, holding them firmly together for more than 8 seconds (because a petty boyfriend like Minho would count the time), before he kissed him twice softly on his lips to end their kiss.

“Now, can you not hold what I did for work against me?”

Kibum asked with a sigh, pushing his boyfriend away, looking all indignant but deep down inside, resisting the urge to smile. Well, it was going to be his secret that he didn’t just kiss Minho to appease him; he also kissed Minho because it was the least he could do (at that point in time) for his lovely darling of a boyfriend who had come to surprise and support him at his musical.

Minho rubbed his lips in thought for a moment before he pondered out loud, “Did you wash your mouth before you kissed me?”

Kibum’s slap to Minho’s chest came in an instant.

“Choi Minho!”

“Alright alright.” Minho finally smiled, “I’ll stop.”

Kibum crossed his arms, “You shouldn’t have come.”

“And miss the chance of reminding you how awesome your boyfriend is?” Minho questioned back and then shook his head, “No way. Who am I, Kibum? I’m Choi Minho, the most-”

“-unreasonable person I could ever meet.” Kibum rolled his eyes as he pushed Minho towards the exit, “Please just send yourself out while I change because we have people waiting for us to leave.”

Minho laughed as he shrugged and sent himself out. However, he did not forget to tell Kibum something that had been in his mind ever since his boyfriend walked through the door.

“Hey bum?”

“What?” Kibum snapped, eyes narrowed dangerously at Minho.

“See if you can bring your costume back to the dorm one day… remember how we had so much fun with your pilot uniform?”

“Get out!!”

Minho burst out laughing and for once, decided not to say anything else as he did what he was told. Well, he could always carry this on at home…

Or maybe not.

When Kibum realised Minho was walking him to the front passenger seat of their van and protecting him from the crowd, it hit Kibum that Minho wasn’t just unreasonable… he was rather possessive too, and definitely not afraid to show it even in front of the fans.

Perhaps, Kibum decided, these were some new qualities of the perfect boyfriend.
