Having a movie night with Minho is not how Kibum wants to spend his free time with his boyfriend. But when it’s been way too long since they last had some one-on-one time with each other, Kibum decides to give in to Minho this time. He may not like how Minho’s attention will most probably be on the screen but at least Kibum can look forward to cuddling with him on the couch.
“Kibummie! The movie’s starting!”
Kibum has just managed to pull out his favourite throw blanket from the top shelf of his wardrobe when Minho calls for him.
“Coming!”
Hurrying out of his room, Kibum joins Minho on the sofa and wraps the blanket around himself. Minho looks excited and everything feels so warm and comfy that Kibum is beginning to think that this may not be such a bad idea.
That is, until he actually focuses on what’s playing on the screen and hears the background music. In an instant, Kibum is sitting up straight and looking extremely unamused at Minho.
“You know, if you want to take advantage of me, you can just do it.”
“What?” Minho looks at him and laughs, “What makes you think that?”
“The horror movie?”
Minho tries so hard not to laugh again but he fails.
“Kibum, I’m sorry but I really just want to watch this movie. I heard it’s super good.”
“But you know how much I hate watching horror movies…”
“I know…” Minho says apologetically, “I’m not going to force you to watch it with me… You can do your own stuff if you want? It’ll just be two hours…”
Kibum pouts. As if he doesn’t already dislike the idea of movie night enough, Minho just has to pick a horror movie to make things worse. Kibum isn’t angry though. He’s also not that selfish to stop Minho from watching the film. Besides, all Kibum wants is to spend some quality time with Minho so he can actually just stay on the sofa and simply close his eyes when the scary scenes happen. Still, for him to be willing to sit down in front of a TV that is playing a horror movie, it shows how much Kibum actually misses Minho.
“Lend me your lap then.”
Minho grins and allows Kibum to make himself comfortable. With his head on Minho’s lap and a hand resting on his knee, Kibum tries to watch the movie without closing his eyes.
The plot is surprisingly captivating but a horror movie is still a horror movie. It only takes 10 minutes for Kibum to give up and turn around so he’s facing Minho - well, Minho’s stomach to be exact - instead. He snuggles closer and tugs on Minho’s sweater, pulling it wide enough to hide his head underneath, hoping to block out the sounds as well.
Minho doesn’t even move though. He’s too engrossed in the movie, the suspense keeping all of his senses occupied that it seems like Kibum isn’t even there. Kibum honestly can’t believe that he doesn’t even get a reaction out of Minho and so he fidgets a little and brushes his nose against the side of Minho’s bare hip. Once again, he gets absolutely no response. This leaves Kibum completely dissatisfied and he decides to start messing around.
Moving back a little, Kibum pushes Minho’s sweater up enough to expose part of his abs with one hand and uses the other to start drawing randomly on his stomach and around his belly button. Obviously, that is enough to capture Minho’s attention as he catches Kibum’s playful finger and holds on to it.
Minho looks down at him the same time Kibum looks up.
“Looks like you’re the one who wants to take advantage of me…” Minho teases with an amused smile on his face before his eyes suddenly return to the screen, full attention back on the movie that he even releases Kibum’s finger unconsciously.
Kibum is left hanging there while Minho watches the movie intently. Oddly enough, Kibum doesn’t feel upset. He just finds it very amusing that the movie is holding so much power over Minho. This will not do, Kibum thinks mischievously, it’s time to pull a rabbit out of his hat.
Trying hard to keep a straight face, Kibum starts undoing the two front buttons on the fly of Minho’s pyjama bottoms and purposely brushes his fingers against his crotch.
“Kibum.”
Minho’s voice sounds strained as he looks down at Kibum who has managed to put on his most innocent expression just in time.
“Yes?”
“Really?” Minho frowns.
“What?”
“Your hands.”
“What about them?”
“I’m trying to watch the movie.”
“I know.”
“But you’re distracting me.”
“Am I?”
Kibum beams. He has never been more proud of himself.
“You are.” Minho confirms.
“Awesome.”
Completely satisfied, Kibum sits up and gets off the sofa, taking the throw blanket with him.
“Sorry baby, I’ll stop distracting you now and let you enjoy the movie.” Kibum eventually decides he doesn’t want to watch the movie anymore (if he even was), “I’ll just find something productive to do in the meantime.”
With that, Kibum leaves Minho alone in the living room and decides to head back to his room with plans to catch up with his favourite American television series while Minho finishes the horror movie.
He’s sitting at his desk, just waiting for his laptop to complete its start-up when Minho enters his room.
Genuinely surprised, Kibum looks at him in confusion, “What happened to watching the movie?”
Minho shrugs, “I decided to do something else. With you.”
When Minho closes the door behind him, Kibum can’t say he isn’t happy that he is eventually getting what he wants.
