Well, I live in the Port Huron area by the Detroit suburbs in Macomb County. Depending on the roads/traffic, it can take anywhere from an hour and a half to two and a half hours. If I left during rush hour, it would be two and a half hours easy, more likely three. There was somebody I could have crashed with on North Campus, but I'd feel like I'm imposing even if it is for two days or overnight ( ... )

Well, there is a commuter lot down on State St. by the Varsity Tennis Center. You could park there free and ride up on the AATA to Central Campus. That's what I did. On North, there's a billion ways you could park for free, if you're willing to walk a little bit to the UM bus stops. So there your parking is free ( ... )
