Current Issues

What do you think about:
5) World Involvement in Iraq:

the entire war is ignorance. i do NOT, by any circumstances, agree on why we went to war. and no matter what anyone says, some of it has to do with the oil they have. and the money that is involved with. many many politicians have disagreed on that, but i do believe that was a large factor in the involvement.

6) Cloning and Stem Cell Research:
go for it. honestly, science can do so much for us, and if we don/t exercise this enough, then when will we ever advance or find cures for such devastating diseases? although, i am sort of indifferent on cloning. i mean, why would you really want to make clones of people? so we have more of the same people in the world? don/t you want different people, to make things interesting? but then again, if you have a baby that has a terrible defect, you could make a clone to make a "normal" child. but i think that you should play the cards you are dealt.

7) Same-Sex Marriage:
i am totally for same-sex marriage. if you find someone you absolutely love, you should not be regulated by anyone to keep you from legally being with that person. i know many gay people, and they are some of the happiest people i have ever met. and honestly, when is the last time you saw a gay person look at a straight person and yell something vulgar at them? you don/t. and that is because they accept straight people all the same as they accept gay people.

8) Internet Filesharing:
if it is what you want to do, then i think you have a right to do it. just be careful. this isn/t really an issue that has been brought up to me before though, so i do not have much insite into it.

9) The Death Penalty:
completely for it. it takes a lot less money to put someone to death, where they belong, rather than keeping them in prison for years. and prisons nowadays are very lenient on the way they deal with prisoners. but that is a different issue. in any case... in order to put someone to death, i believe that you have to have the utmost evidence that they are guilty. sometimes it is hard to do, and in this case, enprisonment may be a better option.

10) Michael Moore:
like most people, michael moore is trying to make a living. and merely by pointing out facts, he has made a living, and quite a magnificant one, might i add. i think he is a genius in some respects.

11) The 2004 Presidential Election:
total democrat here. thus, kerry. nonetheless, that crazy money-spending president of ours was re-elected. i am against bush, clearly. we are in one of the worst recessions our country has faced in like 20 years and it is because of bush/s insane spending. not to mention, he cut back funding for just about everything that is important to americans. way to go. howard dean was funny though. RRRAAAAHHH!

12) Religious Zealots:
ew. religion. to me, any person that holds a religion is just trying to find some solid ground to stand on for a belief for anything after death. i am a darwin fan in believing evolution. we just happened to get lucky. in a million years, the dolphin may be building super computers and organizing underwater therapy groups for the weak-minded. but we will never know that today. my point being, we have no where to go after death other than becoming fertalizer. i don/t believe there is anywhere to go. no one to put "faith" in.

Intellect

13) Name a book or movie that changed your life, or at least really made you think. Why (or How)?
actually, the movie {fight club} made me think a lot. there is so much depth to that movie, and i hate when people do not want to watch it because they think that it is merely about fighting. clearly, it is not. it is extremely philosophical and a well written book too. chuck palahniuk is a genius. this book made me seriously question religion for the first time. and ever since then i have been an athiest.

14) Name 3 books you have read in the last year (be honest):
well, i have read all of these books before, only one of them for the first time. but...
1] fight club
2] requiem for a dream
3] last exit to brooklyn (this was the first time)

15) Who is your favorite artist and why? (Yes; this is a very broad question. It could be a painter, musician, actor, writer, ect.)
my favorite artist is probably hubert selby jr. his writing style is phenominal and his writings are just incredibly powerful. actually, i just got done doing a research paper on how his writings affect human emotion. i got an A. oh yeah, this explains why i use a backslash instead of an apostrophe. hubert selby jr. does it, and i wish i could write just like him. plus, it is different. and if you are going to judge me on this fact alone, you need to sit down and really think about that.

16) Cite a quote or song lyric that relates to you or your life and explain why:
"you/re not how much money you have in the bank. you/re not the car you drive, you are not the contents of your wallet. you/re not your fucking khakis"
simply because you aren/t. you are what you want to be. you are what you make yourself. materialistic things do not describe you. your mind, your heart, your ideas describe you, and NO material will ever be enough to explain you thoroughly.

About You

17) Label your political standpoint:
i am a democrat, as aforementioned. but i really don/t like politics that much. i pay more attention to philosophical views. i.e. what the meaning of life is.

18) If had to dedicate yourself to one issue or cause, what would it be?
i would probably dedicate myself to the issue of religion. although i know that we will probably never, ever know truly if there is any higher power or not, i still want to be as close to figuring it out as possible.

19) If you could meet anyone (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
i would want to meet hubert selby jr. and speak to him on what made him write the way he does. just his writing style alone is a conversation for hours in itself. i do know, however, that he wrote [requiem for a dream] when he was out of rehab for doing heroin. and if anyone has read the book or seen the movie, you know that it is based solely around heroin addictions.

20) If you were to die today, what would have been your greatest achievement?
realizing that i was the one who tore my family apart. realizing all of the mistakes i have made throughout my short lived life. realizing that i am not special in any way, and that i am not a beautiful, unique snowflake.

21) What are you passionate about?
i am passionate about my music. almost more than anything in life. music is my way of getting out emotions. i write and make music, and i am proud of that. my lyrics are different, but people love them. and i love my lyrics too because they almost secretly tell the story of my life.

22) What disgusts you more than anything?
ignorance. i hate ignorant people. or people that don/t accept others for who they are. i am a very different person upon first sight. yes i wear make-up. yes i wear tight pants. yes, i am ok with that. i like it. i am "scene" i guess you could say. but i don/t care. if someone doesn/t want to get to know me, then it is their loss, not mine.

23) If you had to choose, who would you rather let die: 100 cute puppies, or 1 grimy homeless man?
a life is a life, no matter what species. thus, one man is NOT equal to 100 puppies. one man is equal to one puppy. don/t take away 100 lives to save one. you have to weigh out your options.

24) How do you measure success?
on what people make of themselves. so, technically on whether or not they are happy with themselves. if they want to flip burgers their entire life, then let them. do not mock that person on their job title. it is all about being happy with who you are, not with the "contents of your wallet" or anything like that.

Further Thinking

25) Are humans alone in the universe?
i absolutely do not think so. i believe that of all of the other planets and solar systems and universes that their is some form of life somewhere. it is, however, merely impossible to discover something so far away.

26) Who was Shakespeare, really?
everything everyone says he was. a poetic genius.

27) What is the meaning of life?
to be born. to reproduce. to die. possibly evolve a little bit in your time period. make an outstanding change that reverses the thoughts of others. but it all comes down to death. we all die. we can/t escape that, no matter what. we don/t have to reproduce. but we do have to be born in order to die. die. die.

28) Can there be love without hate, and vice versa?
not at all. you cannot compare an idea with anything unless it has a polar opposite, or something close to. this deals with everything. without a south pole, could you have a north pole? no. if you have anything, there is always something that will counteract to make a balance.
