Maybe LiveJournal has a Purpose

It seems that LiveJournal brings the world together. The number of people who just randomly post comments on my journal has fluxuated throughout this journal's life. So then I'll go post comments on this person's journal back. And as a result, this person's friends will read my comment and in turn post comments on my journal (Or IM me, which ( Read more... )

its amazing the things you learn about people courtesy lj!
and everyones got one. its how we all communicate now.

what's the point of lj? lovlifyori April 6 2005, 22:03:12 UTC
I think it's an effective way to communicate with people we can hardly talk to in person and to learn about others to break stereotypes, misconceptions, and misunderstandings we have about them. For example, you seemed like a goofball to me (this was 2 years ago, btw) and I had no idea what your views and opinions were. For all I knew, you could've mindlessly played pranks and talked back to teachers all day at school. People probably thought (and still do) that I am deathly shy, serious, anti-social, and silent.

I found your lj by accident, I forgot how...

You're in contact with me and we said NO words to each other. Woot!

I hide behind this veil of black souless death
The clouds bleed pain and agony into my heart
Pain is my release for myself
the knife cuts deeper in every slide

Yep, LJs are a great expression for thought and means of attention-whoring. I just do it to express some ideas though.
