Homework assignment after a fashion

All righty.   To battle the depression I have found myself in, I've started going to a counselor again.  It helps, because, as was pointed out to me by someone whom I know will always give me truth: I haven't been ok for a while now.  So, I took steps to try and be ok.  Or at least get closer.  Make sense?

Well, apparently I've got an assignment to ( Read more... )

26 lbs? Wow Jenn! I'll hardly recognize you when I see you next! Of course, Xander says once I do, I'll just fatten you up. ^_^

by the by, it seems he's holding a couple of your books hostage from when we went to the city library book sale (before I left town). I'll have them out of his hot little hands and in yours when you visit family over X-mas. Don't tell him I said that though! ^_^

Oh, I'm sure I'll still be recognizable. I'll just be a smaller version of me! :P

Dunno about fattening me up. I plan on everything in moderation and trying to keep up with exercise just so I don't balloon out. the holidays are going to be the first real test of this whole lifestyle change thingie, I think.

Seriously, can you say no to french cooking?

Well, maybe you can but not very often! ^_^ I'll be digging into my southern roots and deep frying a turkey (again) this year! Yay!

I can try...? I'd have a harder time resisting french desserts... (Creme brulee...mmmm)

damnit, now you have me thinking french, thinking Le Madeline's. And you's no here to go wif!! :P

still want to try a deep fried turkey one of these days. Not getting home for thanksgiving, but definitely for Christmas.

I'll just consider your cooking an exercise in willpower! lol ;)

I am glad you are getting help. i think listing positive things to happen in a day would be good for almost anyone. So many focus on all the stressful things that the happy times pass them by (not that I am saying that is you - but very accurate to how I tend to go through my days)

Yay for positive things. I like this counselors Idea of homework. It sound like it should also make you do more happy Jenn time things. To make sure that there are three positive happy things in your life each day. I am pleased.

Actually...I didn't really think about it in that way before. Huh. I'm betting that's what the counselor was thinking, though, at least one of the things being thought.

Hrm. Food for pondering, and new perspective. Sweet.
