2 weeks

So today is exactly 2 weeks before I go under the knife. I have SOO much to do and am slightly overwhelmed but I am sure I will get most if not everything done in those 2 weeks. To make things even more intense we are moving in with a friend in August so I am trying to move as much stuff over as i can now to make the workload less in August. Plus

I read a bit, I think in The Beauty Myth, about the psychology of surgery, how it's like an archetypal death-and-rebirth -- you go unconscious in a ritual environment, wake up again fundamentally changed. Anything along those lines is going to be scary/overwhelming because of the 'death' part of death-and-rebirth -- profound, too, for the same reason.
