HELP - Classic Horror anyone?

So I could REALLY do with some help right now. I want to enter a Halloween fan art/fan fiction competition for Metanoia, but the theme that's been given is Classic Horror ie Frankenstein, Dracula, Picture of Dorian Gray. I'm more into 70's and 80's horror but if you want some classic horror which lends itself to some dramatic visual interpretation then try Doctor Jeckyll and Mister Hyde, Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Nosferatu or Phantom of the Opera. All definite classics.

Perhaps you could do something with The Yellow Wallpaper?

Since I first read it, I've always liked it. The mental picture of the narrator woman staring intensely at the horrid wallpaper until she sees herself trapped underneath it is just fantastically written. It's a fairly quick read, too, since you're in a hurry.
