geeky RSS question, move along

Does anyone know of a web service that will send you an email (to an address of your choosing) once a new post is made to any particular RSS feed you point it at?

If so, I think I may have found a solution to the problem described here.

One could simply create a new LJ for their links and have this service send a post-to-LJ email to update that account automatically after a link is added to del.icio.us. Friends can then add this new LJ account to their friend's list and walla... you have a dedicated journal (that's easily searchable) for facilitating discussions around links of interest.

If you posted links infrequently enough (or just didn't mind the extra posts), you could have the emails update your main LJ as well.

update: master online researcher, iamdonte, has found the answer here. Now to see if this setup works end to end...

lj, del.icio.us, lazyweb, rss
