Wal-Mart takes Visa and Mastercard. Most Sam's Club's do not, because our profit margin is lower and our sales are generally lower.

At my store, the demographics break down into roughly five categories; about 20% military, 20% comfortable-living-the-American-dream middle-aged white folk, about 30% elderly retirees, maybe 15% college students, and the remaining 15% encompass the working class, the poor, younger professionals, etc.

Guess which group we get the most shit from?
"This Bible has a fleck of lint on it. This was the only one on the shelf, but I want an undamaged one."
"I spent $100, you sold me a 10% discount card for $10. I still don't get how it's free. That's false advertising! You're lying!"
"WELL! You don't have Clay Aiken's Diary Notes in Swahili!! I'll just go over to BARNES AND NOBLE and get it from them!"
"Electronic checking?!! NOOOOOO!!! You're trying to steal my identity!!!"

Customers are stupid. Plain and simple. Once that whole "The customer is always right" shit became wide spread, people seemed to think they can just walk into any store, resturant or any other place of business and get their way no matter what.

One thing Ive learned is that some people are not really as mad as they let on, they just think that by acting mad they are more likely to get their way.

But, I still cant help but laugh at comments made to anyone other than the owner (or someone else who has stake in the companys profits) about taking their business elsewhere. You know what runs through my mind? "The less people in this store, the less I got to do and my hourly wage is the same" so to anyone who ever comes into my place of business and wants to bitch, Im asking now, PLEASE take your business else where!
