This doesn't even get into the concept of Humanity 5 kindred. A kindred that is humanity 5 should not exist in a LARP setting. Period. And even if you think they should, they most certainly should not be anything more than a recluse or some neonate who simply doesn't know better and wants to disregard his or her heinous being. However, I have seen Humanity 5 characters who wish to be princes (which should be a path check if not an automatic path drop; what could be more selfish than declaring yourself akin to a god?) and some who are of positions that garner more national attention than that. If I ever see an archon higher than humanity 3 (or 4 if they do purely clerical work, such as the "E Division" from page 21 of Archons and Templars that may or may not exist in OWbN), I will shit myself ( ... )

This is awesome. But you can boil it down more simply.

"Nice, well adjusted Kindred do not exist. Let me explain why."

Because the theme of the game is personal horror. The setting is gothic punk.

That's it. If you're playing one of the super-awesome well-adjusted "good guys," then you're playing the game wrong. You can certainly play the character who is trying to be the good guy, but the theme is that you should fail at that goal. The story is your downward spiral, as even the best of intentions lead to ruin.

100% YES. That's the stuff which makes a character change over the years; humanity is just a 5 dot stat which tries to represent it.
