Oh, hurray for Dumbledore. This is so perfect after that announcement! Yay! And, as always, very well-written. I loved Sirius' foolish hurt and Remus' confusion (gawd, haven't we all been there at least once?)

And this bit was great: “It’s getting cold, Mr. Lupin, why don’t you head back up to Gryffindor tower?” he says kindly. His smile, now, is less sad, somehow hopeful, as he adds, “You’ll be all right, Mr. Lupin. After all, as our Muggle friend Shakespeare said, the course of true love never did run smooth.”

Brilliant as always. I was so shocked at JK's announcement. Happy, but shocked. I could totally see him helping our puppies out :)
It made me laugh that Remus swore at James and Sirius before going out the common room. Naughty Remus always does have great appeal, does he not?

Oh I just read 9 & 10 togther and oh! I love love love this series, they're so lovely and sweet without being at all girlie.
I love the image of them holding hands under the table and I felt totally gutted for Remus, you managed to build up and convey it so perfectly that I almost didn't want to read on, I didn't want Remus to work it out. Brilliant work.

Oh thank you!! I'm so glad you liked it! I know, I felt so awful for Remus, writing these pieces. But I thought there needed to be some sort of catalyst for something to finally happen between them, more than just the flirting and the UST, and so this sad bit led into their first kiss in Prompt 11. =)
