FIC: An Ordinary Week (Part 5 of 7)

“Bloody Death Eaters,” he mutters, shaking his head.  He doesn’t want to think about it.

The whooshing sound from the living room fireplace, closely followed by a thud, indicates that Sirius is home.

Good distraction, Remus thinks, still watching the window.  The sky is already dark, has been all day, with this rain.  He can hear Sirius warding ( Read more... )

Oh, part of me was so excited to see another "Ordinary Week" post and another part of me thought, "No! That means it's almost over! Noooooo!"

Anyway, this was really lovely, not to mention HOT. I loe the teasing dynamic between them. Like this:

But Remus knows how to resist. To pretend he doesn’t notice, or care. He knows how to act like he isn’t already hard, isn’t itching to wipe that smirk off Sirius’ face with a ravening kiss.

Actually, there was a lot to like (love) here. And the structure with the "reality check" of the first and last paragraphs was very effective.

Fantastic!

I can't believe I only have 2 more to write!! Just have to think of some new mischief for them to get up to. *bites nails*

Thank you for such a lovely review!! :D It really means a lot to me!

I didn't want to focus too much on what was going on outside their home, because of course that would seriously kill the "fluff" part of the series ... but it seemed all right to do a bit of a frame in this one.

It does totally seem right. Perhaps because, fluffy as it may be (in a good way) and happy as your Remus/Sirius geniunely are, we KNOW that there is this... tragedy... just looming over their heads. It's powerful, but not something that you can just ignore.

I'm so behind on reading all the recent posts that I've only just managed to read this today. I can't believe I managed to leave it this long, I love your ordinary week series. I'm also a little sad that it's almost at an end. Maybe you should do an ordinary month, or year perhaps :)
I liked the list of things Remus knew they didn't have to do that night, such as having to rescue James from the wrath of Lily for not looking like he cared about what color napkins they had at the wedding :)
I wish I had Sirius stripping in my kitchen when he came home ;) I'm not sure I would have managed to play it as cool for as long as your Moony did :)
Can't wait for more, even if it is sad that they are coming to an end soon
Love <3 <3 <3

Aww, thank you for saying such nice things! I'm glad you enjoyed it! You know, I was thinking about doing this week all from Sirius' POV, then writing another from Remus' POV. But then I got to Sunday, and that really wanted to be Remus' POV, and so did this one so ... that plan didn't work out so well.

Nor would I!! =)
