Imoen is the daughter of Bhaal, the god of murder and the ruler of D&D's Hell, and you are free to play with this however you like.

She also doesn't have a soul but will attempt to sell said non-existent soul to you in exchange for something if she thinks she can get away with it. Granted, what she really wants back is her soul, but this can't be done without completing the canon plot and I'd prefer to leave that undone.
