I finally get back to check on the bar's progress instead of worrying about my damn injuries and I find a fucking memory crystal in one of the bar glasses. This should be good. I always get such freaking hysterical reactions afterwards

[They run into each other in the kitchen, so sorting out the mutual outing does not take long. At most, Kagerou frets over the news that Smoke has, one way or another, got himself hurt, even as they head out towards the Bazaar.]

I mean, should we bring something? Don't you usually take flowers to people when they're injured? I'm not sure if Smoke is much for flowers, but... it would be polite. [She laughs, a tad sheepishly.]

Not that he is precisely... polite, either, a lot of the time. But he was so nice to me, too. Ah, I don't even know any foods he likes!

If I had a bundt cake, we could bring it, but alas, I am all out. I'm sure he won't begrudge us. [*a laugh*] He seems like a pretty laid back guy--I'm sure he isn't expecting presents, you know? Let's just head over there, I'm sure he's as eager to check out the crystal as I am.

[*the walk is uneventful, aside from Lea stepping in a slushy puddle along the way and getting his shoe all wet. he raps crisply on the door when they arrive at the newly rebuilt bar*]

[ The bar's shell is completely rebuilt to accommodate the new layout, but not all of the trimmings & trappings are in place for it to be a place of business yet. ]

[ Smoke is at the bar, sitting on a stool with a mug in front of him. The memory crystal is inside the mug, so it's not seen upon entry. He has his heavy coat on over his bandaged midsection, but there's still quite a few cuts on his face from impacting the crystal structures on Crystala, plus some wrapping on his hands from gripping his chain. ]

[Kagerou hurries in the door with nary a glance at the repaired bar, zeroing in on Smoke.]

Oh, please don't even start apologising. It doesn't become you. [She offers a somewhat wan, but sincere smile.] Are you feeling better?

Wait--monsters? You found the culprits? And Toushi--is he all right? [She seems to remember to sit down, tumbling heavily onto the nearest stool even as the questions pour out.]
