Perhaps I should hesitate to point this out, but you didn't count.

Yeah, I got bored of it already!

So did you steal my clothes?

[...Is BM going to keep up the track record and expose himself to a child?]

No, that would be this town. I hope you're used to cosmic jokes being played on you, because that's what this seems to be, often enough.

[No... he's going to wear Mayfield clothes and not do that, I am not doing that this time.]

My entire life was a cosmic joke. Then the ones doing it died.

So I like my odds.

And are you telling me the entire town is in on this little prank?

[ :( But he would be the most appropriate one.]

That sounds absurd. You'll have to explain what you mean by that, I think.

...The town's authorities, I suppose you would say. The Mayor; Officer Grady; unspecified others. You'll find out soon enough, I think.

[So true...]

Yeah, no I don't. If you meet a guy named Sarda when I murder you, ask him.

Authorities eh? You know what authorities are weak too right?

If you do end up murdering me, the chances are good I'll come back to life. As will everyone else you kill in this town, I'm afraid. But I'll keep that in mind.

Dissension, guerrilla tactics, free speech, corruption, treachery, a poor system of checks and balances...?

Wait? Everyone in this town just comes back to life?

...

Yeah, but they also are weak against fire and stabbings.

Yes. Everyone.

I suppose some of them might be. Not all of them, though.

That's a rip. I'm just going to have to make them regret coming back then.

Stupid Life 3.

And any authorities that aren't afraid of fire or stabbings haven't been burned alive while being stabbed to death.

Life 3? I don't understand. However, the chances are extremely high that you'll be killed by something more powerful than a mere arsonist or serial killer first. The authorities have a wide array of weapons at their disposal; and so too do some of the other captives.

There's not much to understand. It's Life 3. You die and you come back. I don't know how it works either, it's a stupid spell.

And I've died before. I'll just claw my way back out of hell and make those jerks wish they never heard of Black Mage!

[DEDUCTION TIME]

Let's see... You expressed familiarity with a mailing system, so such a thing exists in your world, to some rudimentary degree of civilization. However, you mentioned fire and knives as weapons, whereas given your apparent temperament, I can only imagine that you would use more advanced weapons if you had them. Therefore, it seems likely that it is some kind of medieval setting. You've mentioned spells and magic, which can subvert death, as well, which suggests further that there are some familiar tropes of fantasy in your world. And finally, your psychology seems to indicate there is something deeply disturbed about the state of this world.

Interesting.

You're not billing me for this are you?

And why use stuff like a crazy old war mech when you got doomsday spells?

It's only for my own information.

And by the way, you probably don't have any spells right now.

Of course I have spells, I'm a master of the forces of creation! Watch as I summon legions of the dead to rise up and...
