My brain is mush these days so my detailed feedback ability is missing, but I wanted to comment to say how very very much I enjoyed this story. I've never read LCL (although we do have it in our bookshelf, so I think I may have to rectify that.) The parallels with L/V/D and the book were fascinating and insightful.

But my favorite parts:
“Earlier you...you said my name.” She expected disgust, more pity, but what really confused her was the tone of wonder in his words.
Guh. That gave me the shivers. She was so embarrassed, but he was just amazed.

I loved that he was researching books about rape survivors, then tried to play it off. *le sigh*

Oh and the sex. Was. AMAZING.

And all this, just as she was about to talk to Carrie Bishop and find out THE TRUTH? Damn, she needed a good orgasm before all of that angst.

Wonderful, wonderful work. Into the memories it goes.

Yeah you should definitely try giving it a read. It's really interesting, or if you prefer there is the film version which has the delicious Sean Bean. XD
It was definitely fun to give Veronica and Logan a little bit of relief from all the crap in that episode, even though it had to still be in the same tone as the other scenes.
Thanks for reading, I'm glad you liked it. It's an honor to be in your memories. :D

I won't bother to quote all of my favorite parts, because I think ML quoted them all ;-) I will tell you my absolute favorite though:

Logan's eyes were closed, and his eyelashes lay against his cheekbones

Guh. I just love that image. Gorgeous!

This is chock full of gorgeous imagery though, and for not being a het writer I think you did a fantastic job. It was the right blend of angst, hotness and vulnerability. I loved that Logan was begging Veronica to let him try to help her.

Lastly, I have tried twice to read LCL and have never been able to get into it. I really like how you drew the parallels between the characters.

The only thing that makes me sad is that she didn't completely trust him after this, and she still leaves the poolhouse later on. I'd like to think this whole scene changes how things went, but knowing Veronica, she would have reacted the same way.

When in doubt over the book I say find the film version with Sean Bean. :)
Thanks for reading, even more thanks for saying nice stuff.
And her not trusting him at the end? That makes me sad too. Logan Echolls performing sexual services in library would make any ordinary girl his slave for life. :D Unfortunately I had to keep the fic in the same vein as the episode itself which is kind of riddled with lots of distrust from Veronica towards Logan, but it's more interesting that way. But you can't really blame her though.

Oh, I've wanted to see that for a long time as I completely ♥ Sean Bean. One day. . .

The snippets from the book worked seamlessly! I particularly loved the bit with the librarian at the end, it was the perfect ending. :)
