contraception would only refer to pregnancy!
but no, there's no pill that prevents against hiv/aids :(

My teacher in embalming lab once stuck his had with a needle while he was sutured up a deceased person with Aids and he's told us about something I'm not sure if its a shot or a pill or a combo of things that can cause you to not get Aids if you take it in x amount of hours. I'm not sure all of the specifics about it I can ask him, I just know whatever it is can make you like deathly ill can cause you like liver or kidneys to fail.

post-exposure prophylaxis. they use it a lot at hospitals and other medical settings when people are exposed. it's just like a super dose of antiretroviral medication.

yeah, one of my professors brought this up. it's post exposure prophylaxis, it's a combination of at least two, drugs and it only decreases your chances of getting HIV, depending on the circumstances. you should start a PEP within hours after possible exposure, and it's done over four weeks time. that is a horrifying message though!
