That sucks about seven level school... is he going to come home each weekend? If you have the money you can go stay in billeting or an off base hotel a couple of days while he is there.. might be a good vacation away from Alabama.

This is a good idea, but one we can't really handle at the moment. Shoe will not be getting separation pay this time, he will still have to pay for his own meals and crap (unlike in the UAE), and while the Air Force will reimburse him when he returns, he has to pay for his own lodging while there. So we'll be okay financially, we just won't have any extra money for celebrating stuff like Valentine's Day.

Jakob gets hurt feelings when I even mention that we won't be together on any holiday (like valentines for us too). He seems to think I'm blaming him instead of simply stating the truth which is all I was doing. It's like I have to pretend that holidays don't exist. Damn military!!

I feel so fucking neglected. But I don't blame my husband at all, I blame the stupid military. I just feel like I have the right to be pissed, but I can't even be pissed at him because it's not his fault and he's every bit as bummed out as I am. And being pissed at the military is, like, the default state for the military wife/girlfriend, so I'm screwed.
