So most of the active duty military from Keesler AFB in Biloxi (which was decimated) is in NJ training to go to Iraq, leaving their spouses to rebuild alone. And did you read that President Bush cut the funding for flood relief and prevention in New Orleans to pay for Iraq ( Read more... )

I seem to recall you saying you voted republican, and yet you critisize your president? How... unamerican of you. ;) We're having our share of floods and wierd weather in Europe too, so we know what you're going through. But hey, there's another thing to bash Bush about - climate change.

*poke* Don't forget to reply to my latest email with the priority list for your site!

I voted Bush when it was Bush/Gore, and I supported Kerry when it was Bush/Kerry. I didn't ask for another 4 years of this crap.

GAH! I completely missed that email! I'll reply now. :)

The last two posts were public. I know how you feel about the military and the Prez though... i remember the situation with Shoe coming back from deployment and heading right to Keesler. Hopfully things can be set right and this may be an opportunity for the President to recall troops. He could face some crappy politics for it, but he isnt up for reelection. THe idea to bring back the members who have family involved is a good one, and it can extend to the current situation in Iraq. They are still bickering about their constitution, and no matter how long the US is there will not change that. This would be an opportunity to fix 2 problems at once.

Yeah, yeah, I know. :) I meant for the last one to be public, and then when a friend linked to this one from his journal I figured I'd make this one public too-- the links are important, anyway.

I thought about posting those pictures of Bush smiling and posing with a cake, and the one of him laughing while playing guitar, both from the day Katrina hit, but I didn't want it to be SO much about "Bush is an idiot" (everyone knows that) as it is about Nawlins getting screwed with their pants on.

how about post the pictures where Bush and Co. flew overhead of the disaster areas without even touching down and getting out of their plane.

that's staying in touch with the American people, all right.

well, you dont have to say bush is an idiot.... everyone knows this:
George W. Bush gave one of the worst speeches of his life yesterday, especially given the level of national distress and the need for words of consolation and wisdom.

Add me?

Hey. Nice meeting you yesterday. Please let me know when (and how) I might be able to obtain some pictures from yesterday's shenanigans in the honeymoon suite.

Thanks.
