I've had some bad experiences lately with giving criticism, so please don't take this as some personal attack from a thinks-he-knows-it-all jerkface. ^^; OK here we go:
Small black text on dark red is too hard to read. The centering doesn't help with readability either. Also, you shouldn't change the cursor like that. It removes the visual cue from mousing over links, selectable text, etc.
The colors do look good with your face in that photo though. ^_^
No, no, I agree with you. Like I said, I'm working on the color palette.. I just downloaded a picture of my favorite eyeshadow compact and I'm planning to try to take the colors directly from it.
I'd like to get rid of the crosshairs but I'm not sure how to do that without completely fucking up the CSS.
