Everything has a beginning...

Last year I attended a forum regarding weight loss surgery.  After doing some research, I've decided that getting gastric bypass is for me and is the first step toward having a tool for a new life.

I am sorry that you were denied for the surgery you so desperately want. I was once the kind of person to isolate myself for what was seemingly no reason at all. I can empathize with that kind of loneliness. I too, have felt that I really let myself down and let my body go - but remember, dust off your slate, start new and don't look back. I got denied my first try too. In my appeal I went back and listed every single crazy diet I've been on my 31 years. I also listed everything that was wrong with me (high blood pressure, and sleep apnea, being the bold highlights)
It probably won't hurt to start up a new eating plan as they make you do one before you actually have surgery.
I say keep at them though. State the facts over, and over and over. It may take some time, but keep at it. It's worth it.

For a while after the denial I was so depressed I didn't do anything. I did that for longer than I care to admit. Now I am back at it and I will keep at it until they approve me.

Thanks for the kind words :)
