Here's a cut of my story of meeting Peter Paige last night (Emmett from Queer As Folk) that I posted in the QAF Icon group. ^_^

So I got to the place early to get my $25 ticket and get in line and freeze my ass of for about an hour and a half.
About 45 minutes into my wait I am looking around and people watching and I look straight ahead and catch a familiar face. Then I notice it's PETER! *dies* I freeze. I notice NOBODY else sees him. He's just walking past the line. Then one person in front of me goes "There ya go" to her friend and they all look confused and sorta notice him as he walks away. I was beyond star struck. It was like wathing QAF, it felt surreal.
So I had celeb radar on after that. He was going to our local donut shop, Top Pot. ^_^ He came back stuffing his face and went inside the theater. Then he left again and and more of us noticed him that time. He's so preshuss :)
So yeah we finally got let in and I got popcorn and was using the butter machine thing and I hear "HI LITTLE MONKEY!" and look over and he's standing there with his arms out and legs spread at this cute little kid on the floor. He repeated that a few times and the kid was laughing. I was in awe and tempted to bother him but I felt so...annoying so I just walked away to get a good seat. It was PACKED.
So my friend who works at the theater got off work and came and sat with me and we noticed him sitting down front and we were being all fangirlish. Then they did this huge introduction thing to the festival and it being their 10th anniversary and so on. Then they had Peter do an intro kind of thing too. He was so funny and told everyone to "Turn off your fucking cell phones" in this mock-angry voice, it was cute as hell. Then he went off side stage and I didnt see him come back inside.
So they played this set of all their commercials they've had for the festival and then went to the "commercial" before his movie. Well at first it only played the SOUND and no picture. lol Go figure, issues on the first night right? So they cut that out and people laugh and I hear this voice right behind me yell something about "Well thank you for coming folks! Hope you enjoyed the movie!" and I didnt realize at first, but it was peter, he had come in behind us and sat in the back by my friend and I sort of. A few rows back.
Then they turned it BACK on and the VIDEO played but NO SOUND lmfao So he did some more commentary from the back of the auditorium, and mind you this is a HUGE theater.
So anyhoo that was adorable as hell and finally the movie started.
IT WAS SO CUTE! It was really sweet and lovable just like Peter of course. He wrote and directed it and starred in it. Such a sweet sweet film. Oh, they also mentioned that the ONLY movie I saw at last years fesival, April's Shower, is going to big screen as is the one that played last night some time in the future. The movie is called Say Uncle by the way.
I recomend that everyone see this movie! It's so cute and teaches a great lesson.
So afterward he did a Q&A and answered a bunch of questions. I figured this'd be a great time to get pictures and he was holding the little kid at some points, too cute! But my camera battery chose that time to die, I could've at least recorded video. -_-
So I ran home to get a new battery and we hopped the party bus to the after opening Gala!
It was insanity. There was wild art, music, waiters with trays of weird little foods, and like 5 bars with vodka as far as the eye could see. I didnt see Peter at all and figured he wasnt there until my friend and I were waiting for booze in the huge line and I noticed him out of the corner of my eye. (Celeb radar, remember? :P) So we skirted him a bit and as he was tryin to get away, I could tell he wanted to go away, but I sort of ducked in and was like "could I bother you for an autograph?" so I got his autograph and told him how much I loved his movie and he thanked me and said it meant a lot to hear that. My friend got one too on her DVD with him on it and shook his hand. I took some shots of him as he walked away and only got ONE GOOD ONE! I swear I'm going to sell my damned digital camera for a better one, it can't take any pictures to save my life. -_- At least of famous people or concerts. *growl*

So yeah, that's my tale of exciting peterness. It was mostly a night of sightings and being near him but nothing special, unfortunately. I wish! if it had been a bit more intimate and not so full of thousands of people, maybe it would've been more exciting!
Sorry to post OT stuff, I'm done. :) Feel free to make icons from it, my friend is going to.
ta!
