Mumia will wake everyone up? Look, if americans couldnt even see how full of shit the Bush Administration was especially when it was basically in your face day in and day out on network news do you really think for a second that Americans are going to take up the cause of a black, convicted cop killer? Lemme explain something to you Geoff, because you are not American. America is not NYC! New york is its own entity and is not even remotely indicative of the rest of the country. Trust me. Most americans still hold racist views. That alone is enough for most to not even listen. Mumia will die in jail. Second of all, he is old news for most. Just another passing thing in the life of the spectacle of American life. Their will always be some new figure for us to feel sorry about for being fucked by the system for a day or two before we go back to the banality of our lives and our car payments, our jobs, and our fucked up signifigant others.
i know all that, bro and that most americans think america is the world & know bog all about what's going on outzijde - try reading what i'm actually saying..... the mumia case just happenz to be a natural point of focus which has come up - from which the whole deal about the system, people's attitudes, the shift etc etc can be summarized and explained so it can all be more easily understood. the more we reach the more are helped. doesn't have to reach everyone, for the natural flow of awakening takes care o' that. it's a chance to focus and get thingz moving... no need to poop all over it 'coz you're still being grumpy;)

- mumia's case symbolic of the blatant injustice of the whole system and it's disregard for humanity & basic common sense
- re-energize the effort with the above as the fundamental point
- co-ordinated 'flashpoint' of information which can connect with everybody's sense of fairness & liberty - including the highjacking of the world (linking-up to the 9/11 evidence etc)
- place emphasis on basic equality of people & what needs to be done on individual & group basis
- break down all these barriers which separate us
- get people who uphold the system to question just what it is that they're actually defending (police officers etc)
