Loved it! (From one who loves the idea of the divine manifest as leonine, a la Aslan in C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia books, hence the sacred lion on my chest!)

If we can’t prove each other wrong and we can’t all be right, why do we waste our energy fighting over this question?
Because a lot of people feel that if someone else believes something other than what they believe, as strongly as they believe what they believe, or even more strongly, it's a threat to their belief. Because, clearly, what is true for them MUST be true for everyone, or it can't be true. Truth can't possibly be subjective, not even unverifiable personal truths.
Seriously tho, this was very interesting, and I'm glad to see other people expressing my belief that everyone should just do their thing, believe their thing, and not worry about everyone else.

Hello, Ericka, and thanks for posting. I came here via bipolypagangeek, at your invitation, and will add you to my friends' list as soon as I'm done here.

My language isn't as well-developed as yours, yet. More work for me to do, and I was behind already. For which my sincere thanks; being *aware* of the work means it's easier to do, and it had been there all along anyway.

I'm not even sure I understand anthropomorphizing *people*. My ancestors anthropomorphized the One God; you make people of Fae, which is certainly no less legitimate. I see people as collections of intelligent agents, some of which we share in common and others of which are unique. Individuals are actually emergent properties of the groups of agents. Fae, gods, and such are further emergent properties, and hence even more abstractly defined. Which is why I need a new language.

My thanks for sharing your beliefs with me; I hope to continue the conversation.

best,

Joel
